Mike and his family represent the third and fourth generations of the Payne family dedicated to the conservation of protected areas in Zimbabwe. Their commitment continues the legacy of Norman Snr and his son, Norman Payne, who both served as long-standing members of Zimbabwe National Parks. This enduring family tradition highlights a deep, multi-generational commitment to preserving the country’s natural heritage.

More Than A Safari Company

The Kaburi-Moto safari area falls within the designated national parks of Zimbabwe. We are privileged to have secured a 20-year lease for this area, offering us the invaluable opportunity to rehabilitate its ecosystems. A strong focus within our company is to reestablish populations of plains game species that have unknowingly declined over the past decades. These include sable, Hippotragus niger, cape bushbuck, Tragelaphus sylvaticus, gray duiker, Sylvicapra grimmia and klipspringers, Oreotragus oreotragus.
